BIMLegal wins prize for making info easy accessible.
BIMlegal makes complex legal information easily accessible by using a 3D BIM model. Nice collaboration between BPD, notary offices Hermans en Schuttevaer and Westport Notarissen and IRP (Bimkeeper). First place in the Gouden Zandlopers and 3rd in the Computable Awards (partner projects).
An intensive collaboration between all parties has led to a surprising and beautiful result. Normally, (prospect) buyers have to go through a lot of documentation to find out what information applies to the house/appartment they are interested in. The 3D presentation not only makes it more transparent, but also ensures that only the legal information that applies to the preferred home is shown.
IRP is of course proud of this wonderful result and certainly also of the recognition that we now receive from this award. Read here what Advocatie writes about the award ceremony (Dutch only).
The first project in The Netherlands that has been carried out in this way is the new construction project of BPDProperty Development, called Hoef en Haag, Het Lint phase 3. Het Lint phase 4 has now also been published and provided with legal information in the 3D model. We ensured that the models were created in such a way that legal information could be linked to them. This link was carried out directly by employees of Hermans and Schuttevaer Notarissen, using our CMS.
Open the home configurator to discover for yourself how it works. Detailed information of a house becomes visible when a house is selected and the 3D model of that house is opened. It takes a moment to load, but after that, it functions fluently.

IRP bases all of its web development on the ISO 19650 standard for the development and full lifecycle of buildings. Formerly known as the BSI 1192-X. This standard has now been almost fully implemented in BIMkeeper.
