Strong movie Residential configurator. What BIM can do!
The text used in the movie is in Dutch, but we think the movie is understandble in any language.
For the Waalfront new-build project in the Dutch city Nijmegen, which is being developed by BPD and partly by Talis and Portaal, we modeled a large part of the homes in 3D. For the Dijkkwartier these are, for example, the homes located on the Havenkade.
To explain the operation and functions of the Residential Configurator, BPD made a film that shows the operation of all filters (price, surface area, etc.). But also other useful functions that bring a user, for example, directly to the entrance of a building, or to the parking garage.
In addition to numerous options to view the entire complex, it is also possible to view a specific house in 3D. It is therefore easy for a user to discover which storage room or parking space (s) belong to this apartment.
On the site nieuwbouw-waalfront.nl/dijkkwartier, the project is described as follows: "Here, apartments come in various shapes and sizes from rental (developed by Talis and Portaal) to medium-priced rent and purchase (developed by BPD) for a nice mix. target audiences."
IRP bases all of its web development on the ISO 19650 standard for the development and full lifecycle of buildings. Formerly known as the BSI 1192-X. This standard has now been almost fully implemented in BIMkeeper.
